Program
  • 1 Analysis of linear and nonlinear networks.
    Topological properties. Modified Nodal Analysis (MNA). Sparsity. Numerical methods for solving linear algebraic systems. Numerical methods for solving nonlinear algebraic equations. "Fall back" methods.

  • 2 Dynamic circuit analysis
    Formulation of nonlinear differential-algebraic equations (DAE). Solution of DAEs. Integration methods, companion models.

  • 3 Determination of a periodic steady state solution in the time domain
    Boundary value problems, shooting method, linear time varying equivalent problem, Floquet theory.
    Several simulation examples complement the main topics of the course. Simulations are carried out by students in numerical labs.
